What's in a Name

I love names, I love first and middle names. I always want to know my friend's middle names and often use it when I refer to them............even when I'm not angry.

I love my name Jennifer Jane (Jane after my mother)

However, I do not like that there are so many other Jennifers in the world. It was the #1 name the year I was born. I want to be the only one.

In my 'world', you know the one where the sky is lavendar and there are banana trees on every corner? In that world, I am the only Jennifer.

I know that I am not the only Jennifer in your life...............but I like to pretend I am.

If I ever have children I hope to name them unsual names so that when they hear their name they know the person is speaking of them.

So, I have kept a list of unusual names that I love.........for future children, pets, Heroine of the Novel I shall never write etc.

Here they are:
IRELYNN

IRELYNNE

RUTHIE

JAYNE

JANIE

GRACIE

AZARIAH

AVONLEA

JILLIE

WESLEY

AMIEL

DARLIA

VERA

  1. I really like those names. Too bad there aren't any "L" names in there though, since if we have anymore children, we will probably have to find one that starts with "L." Thanks for sharing.

  2. One of my friends in Atlanta named her daughter Jaynie, similar to your Jayne/Janie.
